After receiving a surgical operation, or suffering an injury or burn, scars may appear; In some cases, small and discreet and in others more visible or even aesthetically disturbed. Trofolastin has created scar-reducing patches with the aim of treating scars and returning to the skin a healthy and careful appearance.
The healing process is divided into 3 phases: inflammation, tissue neoformation and remodeling of the extracellular matrix. During this last phase, excessive production of fibrous tissue with a high collagen-type V content sometimes occurs, with often encapsulated nodules, resulting in hypertrophic or keloid scarring.
The use of scar-reducing patches, Trofolastin, reduces the possible appearance of hypertrophic and keloid scars. Thanks to its bilayer design, consisting of an outer layer based on microporous polyurethane and an internal one, which forms an adhering acrylic film to facilitate its fixation to the skin, prevent hypertrophy and keloid, accelerating the healing process and providing the necessary care to show off healthy and careful skin.
They can be trimmed to fit the scar measurements and are water resistant.
